A DIYer has proven that you don’t have to spend a fortune to transform your house from drab to amazing.

Thrilled with her hallway transformation, Holly Citrone took to social media to share a before and after look at the space, leaving many open-mouthed.

In a post on DIY On A Budget, a private Facebook group with 2.2 million members, the clever mum from the UK explained that she used bargain buys from B&Q to add style and glamor to her space.

She wrote: “Hallway paneling. We are so happy with it. This now matches our stairs.”

Holly explained that she stocked up on wood from B&Q for her mega makeover.

She revealed that Astragal’s thicker dado rail cost £7.67 for 240cm, while the smaller inner Astragal rail cost £5.67 for 240cm.

Holly explained: “We used four of the larger rails and we think eight of the smaller ones, so the total spend came to £77.05.”

“We already had the color, which was Dulux Timeless and Egyptian Cotton.”

Thanks to the cheap dado rails from B&Q and the paint they already had, Holly was able to give her once very plain hallway a stunningly fresh look.

For under £80, we think Holly’s makeover is super impressive – and it’s really on-trend and chic too.
