Habeck: The date for the vote of confidence is up to Chancellor Scholz

According to Federal Minister of Economics Robert Habeck (Greens), it is up to Chancellor Olaf Scholz (SPD) to decide when he will ask the vote of confidence. After his meeting with Federal President Frank-Walter Steinmeier, Habeck said that the mood of the conversation was appropriate to the seriousness of the situation. BVR: Weak investment will continue in 2025

Upcoming U.S. economic data will determine whether the Federal Reserve will cut interest rates again in December, according to Minneapolis Fed President Neel Kashkari. “The expectation is that we will have another one in December Interest rate cut will be carried out. “But we have to wait and see what the data actually looks like before we draw any conclusions,” Kashkari said on CBS’s Face The Nation. “That’s in six weeks. But I think another rate cut is certainly possible,” added Kashkari, who is not a voting member of the FOMC this year. Asked how the Fed would respond to a combative Trump administration, Kashkari said the central bank’s independence would be guaranteed by legal guarantees.
