TV presenter Ellen Degeneres and her wife Portia de Rossi are reportedly planning to move permanently to rural England, becoming the latest US stars to relocate following Trump’s election victory.

The couple reportedly want to move to the Cotswolds and have no plans to return to the US once the move is complete.

They are also reportedly planning to put their Montecito mansion on the market.

In October, The Sun reported that the couple had bought a property in the Cotswolds ahead of the 2024 US election.

However, following Donald Trump’s victory, sources planned to “get the hell out of the US” after the couple became “very disillusioned”.

Other stars who spoke out after Trump’s victory included Eva Longoria. She has discussed moving to Europe, but clarified that despite her disapproval of Trump, she has begun splitting her time between Spain and Mexico for international work.

Ellen DeGeneres was one of Vice President Kamala Harris’ prominent donors.

Ellen was pictured visiting Top Gear star Jeremy Clarkson’s pub in the Cotswolds with Portia last week, confirming her desire to settle in the English countryside.

In a video shared by Clarkson’s friend Lisa Hogan on Instagram, the stars, including Ellen’s wife Portia de Rossi, sing along and enjoyed drinks while sitting on the balcony of The Farmer’s Dog.
