This is how much Early Access costs you

Early Access for “Path of Exile 2” will start soon. However, interested players will have to dig deep into their pockets for the coming test phase.

The developers at Grinding Gear Games are currently concentrating entirely on the successor to the 2013 action role-playing game “Path of Exile”. Path of Exile 2 The aim is to entice the user with a new campaign, 100 different environments, 600 monsters and 100 bosses as well as a new endgame.

The early access to “Path of Exile 2” was actually supposed to start on November 15th, but was Shortly postponed to December 6th. The developers have now stated that access to the upcoming test phase will cost interested players at least $30.

Access will not be free

“Path of Exile 2”, like its predecessor, will follow the free-to-play model. The game itself is financed through optional microtransactions. In “Path of Exile” These include cosmetics for your own characters, colors for portals or additional space for item truth.

However, as Grinding Gear Games states, access to the game’s Early Access will be paid. In a live stream that will be broadcast today on November 21st at 9 p.m. German time, the developers will present a series of new supporter packs that contain keys for the upcoming test phase.



The Supporter Packs also bring exclusive cosmetic items for the game. Early access packs start at $30. Higher-priced packages should also contain physical items, such as shirts, hoodies or art prints signed by the developers.

Successor with new content

“Path of Exile 2” is intended to offer its players twelve character classes, each of which has three specializations in the form of ascendencies. As in the predecessor, skill gems will again play a major role in the coming part. However, in “Path of Exile 2,” support gems are placed directly into skill gems, eliminating some annoying gameplay steps.

Despite the release of “Path of Exile 2”, the developers at Grinding Gear Games want to continue releasing content for “Path of Exile”. “Both games are completely free and never pay to win. All purchases are shared between both games,” the studio said.
