Police catch suspected drug dealer in accident in Memmingen

A blessing in disguise for the police: On Friday, a driver drove into a patrol car at the Burgacker motorway parking lot. There was an arrest warrant for his passenger.

During police checks on the A96 near Memmingen, police officers caught a drug dealer. As the police report, officers from the Lindau border police were checking various cars and vehicles on the A96 at the Burgacker Süd parking lot when an uninvolved car simply drove into the civilian patrol car.

The two Swiss inmates and the police officers were not injured. When the police subsequently checked the personal details of the two men, they discovered that there was an international arrest warrant from Austria against the passenger. He is accused of drug trafficking. The police therefore arrested the man and brought him before the Memmingen district court. He was then taken to prison in Memmingen. The accident recording was taken over by the Memmingen motorway police.
