Thoroughbred Fasnachter awarded gold medal of merit – Lambsheim

Karlheinz Ungefehr, 63-year-old thoroughbred carnival fan, was awarded the Gold Medal of Merit from the Federal German Carnival at the Vorderpfalz district’s honorary evening.

He is honorary president of the Lambsheimer Schloßnarren carnival club (KC) and has also been chairman of the district since April Vorderpfalz in the Association of Baden-Palatinate Carnival Clubs. Now, completely surprisingly, the next award from the German Carnival Association (BDK) was received. Ungefehr was also the first member of the Schloßnarren to receive this high award. “Even though this was my first time leading the district event, I was not aware of this honor and was therefore surprised when my name was called by the president,” Ungefehr said.

The native of Frankenthal, who spent his childhood and youth in Weisenheim am Sand and because of love Lambsheim came, is considered a convinced club leader who has been looking after the carnival in the Vorderpfalz with great passion since the spring.
