A woman rescued a teenager from the river in Bad Cannstatt. The 14-year-old cannot remember how she ended up in this situation. The police are looking for witnesses.

It is still completely unclear how the situation came about: According to the police, a 26-year-old woman discovered a girl in the Neckar in Stuttgart-Bad Cannstatt on November 11th. The young people were floating injured in the water at the level of the Berger Steg. She doesn’t know what happened to her.

Woman saves 14-year-old from Neckar

The woman was on the Neckar cycle path at the time. That’s where she saw the girl. The young people were floating in the water and holding on to a backpack. She did not respond to the woman’s calls. He then immediately called the emergency number and asked a 53-year-old man present for help, according to the police. Then the woman herself went into the river to save the girl.

Girl has no memories: police are puzzled

Shortly afterwards, emergency services, the fire department and the police arrived. The girl was responsive and was taken to hospital with a head injury. It is currently unclear why the young people appeared to be in this dangerous situation at that time.

According to the police, she does not live in Bad Cannstatt. In addition, she would not be able to remember much of the day at all. According to their own information, the police are investigating in all directions. Witnesses are asked to report to the Ludwigsburg criminal police.
