They simply cannot be beaten: The Swiss curlers around Skip Silvana Tirinzoni and Fourth Alina Pätz celebrated their next victory at the European Championships in Finland after a perfect preliminary round in the semi-finals. The defending champions CC Aarau defeated Italy 7-3 in the reprise of last year’s European Championship final.

This was equivalent to the 10th success de suite in Lohja. Across all tournaments, the Swiss have 21 successes in a row.

Swiss foursome in the 6th end

The preliminary decision is made in the 6th end. Thanks to a perfect last stone from Pätz, the Swiss, who had previously come away empty-handed in the four ends, wrote a house of four.
