Former Randall & Amarillo College baseball star Duncan Bowles has committed to Western Kentucky

AMARILLO, Texas (KFDA) – Former Randall Star pitcher and current Amarillo College sophomore Duncan Bowles committed to Western Kentucky on Thursday.

Bowles is the first homegrown recruit from Amarillo College to commit to an NCAA program and the ninth AC recruit overall to commit to a Division I program.

He joined the Badgers in 2023 after helping Randall to its first state tournament appearance in 16 years.

“I am blessed and excited to announce that I will be continuing my academic and athletic career at Western Kentucky University! “I want to thank God for giving me the opportunity and ability to play the game I love,” Bowles said in an Instagram post. “A big thank you also goes to my parents for their sacrifices and support.”

As a Badger, he finished the spring 2024 season with 62 innings pitched, a strikeout-to-walk rate of 2.7 and a WHIP of 1.55.
