Diagnosing Endometriosis: About Severe Menstrual Pain and the Gender Health Gap

Endometriosis affects one in ten women of childbearing age. They not only suffer from symptoms such as severe pain and infertility, but also from the social taboo and stigma associated with the topics of menstruation and women’s health.

The event aims to provide information about the chronic disease and focus on the gender health gap and gender data gap surrounding endometriosis.

About the speaker: Katrin Wolschke is a volunteer at the Endometriosis Association of Germany. In the Endo.Political.Active working group. Since her diagnosis, she has been committed to improving the care situation for those affected. She works full-time as a project coordinator for a youth democracy project in Brandenburg.
