He added that more than four thousand perfectly good orders on Zomato are canceled by customers due to various reasons. “Today we’re introducing a new feature (currently scaling) – Food Rescue! Canceled orders will now appear for nearby customers, who can receive them intact at an unbeatable price in the original packaging and in just a few minutes,” he wrote in a post.

The canceled order will be visible in the app to customers within 3 km of the delivery partner fulfilling the order. To ensure timeliness, the complaint option is only available for a few minutes.

Delivery partners are fully compensated for the entire journey, from initial pickup to final drop-off at the new customer’s location. Food Rescue will automatically appear on your homepage when a canceled order is available to you. Refresh the homepage to check for newly available orders that need saving.
